Construction of the 220 kV line crossing the Kien Binh - Phu Quoc sea was started by the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the Southern Electricity Corporation (EVNSPC) as an investor with a total investment of over VND 2,200 billion in March 2019.

Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion: Slow in construction, damaged on many aspects
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has reported in writing to the Prime Minister to agree with EVN's proposal on the results of the overall assessment of the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Project and the proposal to allow the project to resume construction.

Vision to 2050 rather than 2045
Reduce coal power plant to 2030.
Assess feasibility of LNG project (imported..). Endorse wind, on encourage self consumption solar..
Consider to import power from Laos (fact: EVN signed several PPAs to import power from Laos, recently)
